Course Reflection

In the beginning of this course I was actually pretty nervous because I am not very good at social media, and maneuvering my way around. However, I was excited to learn more about social media, stats, and how to track everything. It did help calm my nerves a little bit knowing that Tessa was in this course with me, and also knowing that Logan Mackie was willing to tutor me once a week via blog posting. Having Logan Mackie help me through this course was one of the best things that could have happened.
I wasn't exactly sure what I was going to be expecting to learn. Hearing from other classmates that have already took this course I knew I would be getting into Facebook and Twitter along with being assigned a specific business. However, I was expected to kind of learn how to run my own business, because that was the talk around the classrooms as of what we were learning. So in all reality, I was expected to learn how to run my own business via social media.
I did learn how to maneuver around social media a lot more than I knew before. I am extremely pleased with this course (even though it was a little harder for me) because I DID learn a lot more than I knew before hand. I also learned how to read statistics in each of our social media sites, such how many followers/likes I have on Facebook and Twitter.
My Favorite experience is learning how to run blogger. Before this class, I have only heard of blogger and I never knew what it really was or how to even run it. I LOVE that you taught me how to run blogger because I know it is extremely beneficial to know how to blog when running a professional business. It brings in your guests and your demographics, it helps promote your deals and I love the fact that you can post links in your blogs so it's just that much easier for your guests to click on, instead of making them find the information by themselves. Running blogger itself is also a lot easier than I thought it was going to be. Consider Logan Mackie helped me maneuver my way around it and made me feel comfortable with it.

No Shave November

Did you know that No Shave November is to raise cancer awareness? Is you husband more obsessed with his beard than doing housework? If so, sign him up for our weekend of events that we are hosting at Spades Campground starting Friday November 25. This event will surely help them burn off those extra calories in the belly that he accumulated from Thanksgiving.

Friday consists of log tossing prelims for the tournament that will be held Saturday, with it being narrowed down to 32 participants that will be qualified. Saturday is tournament day, we are hosting the wood splitting competition and log balancing. We are doing these competitions in teams of two with cash prizes up to $3,000. My Campground will match each cash prize with a donation to the No Shave November Charity.

Check out more pictures on our Facebook
Sunday we analyze the winners with celebration where food and drinks will be provided by the local Sally's Smokehouse. We are going to cap off the weekend of festivities with the opportunity to raise even more money for the No Shave November Charity by shaving the faces of ten lucky volunteers. So wives it's time to finally get rid of the beard by nominating your significant other for this "Shaving Lives Experience."

Please check out my video for more information about taking camping trips out on the road. We work hand in hand with RVillage for making camping stays as convenient as possible. So with that being said head on over to our Facebook or Twitter to learn more information about RVillage with the tutorials provided.
